RTG Big Data Research Network Meeting are aimed at Principal Investigators (PIs) who would serve as supervisors for the doctoral students. These PI workshops are conducted for faculty members from the participating institutes. With the aim to form new research tandems between German and Indian researchers they fuel the collaboration between the two countries.
At the workshops 5 – 7 Principal Investigators from Heidelberg University interested in collaborations will introduce themselves. All Indian partners can nominate 2 – 3 of their own investigators to present their research ideas at the meeting.
Together the two Principal Investigators can than within the next 12 months apply for phase 1. In this phase a suitable PhD candidate will be sent for 6 – 10 weeks’ lab internship to the labs of the German supervisor in Heidelberg.
