Two of the RTG’s core activities are sustainable networking and teaching. Within the RTG Big Data Research in Biosciences Principal Investigators (PIs) from an Indian Partner Institution form a tight collaboration with a PI from Heidelberg University by training mutually a PhD student. Two possible ways for these PIs to initially get to know each other either are through this website or at biannual Network Meetings organised by the RTG.
The RTG Schools and short courses – jointly organized by the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR) of Heidelberg University and one Indian partner institution – are aimed at students with a background in scientific computing. The lectures and seminars in the school will be held by renowned experts, which provide unique opportunities to the students to hone their skills. The schools are also an excellent platform to network at an early career stage.
Further Meetings are held to enhance networking and the spread of new research results and to discuss administrative tasks.
