Prithwijit Guha

Prithwijit Guha is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Electrical Engineering, IIT Guwahati. He has obtained B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, followed by M.Tech. & PhD from IIT Kanpur (Electrical Engineering). He has worked as the Team Leader of the Computer Vision Group of TCS Innovation Labs (Delhi). He has worked on projects related to Surveillance Video Analysis (focused on Foreground Extraction, Multiple Object Tracking and Occlusion Analysis) and News Broadcast Analytics (Commercial Detection, News Story Segmentation and Event Detection). His research interests lie in the areas of Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Signal Processing. He is presently working on developing general Machine Learning Algorithms with applications in Audio/Video Analytics and News Broadcast Analytics.
