Resmi Suresh

Lecturer, Assistant Professor
IIT Guwahati

Resmi Suresh is a newly joined and very engaged Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Guwahati. She completed her PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) in 2017.  She comes from a unique process systems engineering (PSE) background. During her doctoral studies, she primarily focused on applications of PSE ideas like optimization, fault diagnosis and control of rechargeable battery systems. After PhD, she worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Columbia University (USA) where she started focusing on causality detection and machine learning aspects. She is currently working on solving various chemical engineering problems using PSE, data science and machine learning concepts.
